Finally....we Matched to a residency program!

We had a wonderful day on Thursday, March 18th.  It was filled with great news, great friends, and lots of fun activities. 

Steven's graduating class met at the Hershey Country Club at 10:30.  We listened to a few speakers and then they passed out a white envelope to each student and did a countdown from 10 and let them open the envelope together to see where the next four years of their lives would be spent.

We matched to Albuquerque, New Mexico!  It was our second choice to Utah.  We were ecstatic to match at any of our top 3 schools...and we did!   SUNSHINE....a novelty in Hershey will be in abundance in our new home.  Not to mention we will be much closer to family and back to the West side of the US.

After the match ceremony we spent the evening sans kiddos at a nice dinner with our entire graduating LDS class family.  We ate at Macaroni Grill and had a great time chatting with our friends....we sure will miss them!

But for now we are focused on our trip to NYC next weekend and lots of packing!  I don't want to leave out our trip to Outer Banks, North Carolina the first week in May with our class!  14 adults, 14 children in one huge house, check it out!

Match Week

Monday:   Get an e-mail confirmation that we actually matched to an anesthesia program....or not.
Tuesday:  Chocolate Spa with other Wives of Medical Students!!!  Pedicure.
Wednesday:  Future Shock or in other words....find out how much we actually owe and repayment options...ouch.
Thursday: 
10:30am  Meet at the Hershey Country Club.  Lots of speakers we really don't care about and then at  
12 NOON Open our little white envelope with our new destination inside!
12:30 Eat Lunch
Call EVERYONE and tell them where were are headed for the next 4 years!
5:30 Dinner with lots of GREAT Friends to celebrate.
Friday and Saturday: Work. Boring.

Elizabeth, what the heck are you doing?

For some reason when I do laundry Elizabeth gravitates right to Bennett's underpants and loves to put them on her head!

2 Week Countdown...
